The Nightingale of Instruments
January 22, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Our season opener features a trio of violins, charmingly called “nightingales” by the passionate 17th century music-lover, Roger North. Accompanied by viola da gamba and harpsichord, you will hear them in exceptional and delectable music from diverse composers including Marini, Uccellini, Buonamente, Gabrieli, Scarlatti, Purcell, and Blow. A rare treat!
Featuring Elizabeth Blumenstock, Stephen Redfield, and Shelby Yamin, violins; Mary Springfels, viola da gamba; and Caitlyn Koester, harpsichord. Sunday, January 22; San Miguel Chapel, 401 Old Santa Fe Trail, 3 pm.
